Toward a Multipolar Administrative Law<\/strong><\/p>\n A Theoretical Perspective<\/p>\n New York, September 9-10, 2012<\/p>\n On the 9th<\/sup>\u00a0and 10th<\/sup>\u00a0of September, 2012, New York University (NYU) School of Law hosted\u00a0 a seminar entitled \u201cToward a Multipolar Administrative Law \u2013 A Theoretical Perspective\u201d.<\/p>\n This initiative has emerged out of the continued\u00a0collaboration<\/strong>\u00a0between the\u00a0Jean Monnet Center at NYU School of Law<\/strong>(centers.law.nyu.edu\/jeanmonnet\/index.html<\/a>) and\u00a0IRPA<\/strong>\u00a0(Istituto di ricerche sulla pubblica amministrazione \u2013 Institute for research on public administration) (archivio.irpa.eu<\/a>). In September 2010 these two institutions jointly organized a two-day seminar on \u201cThe New Public Law in a Global (Dis)Order\u2014A Perspective from Italy\u201d: amongst the contributions presented at that event, 8 articles were published as part of the Jean Monnet Working Papers series (centers.law.nyu.edu\/jeanmonnet\/papers\/index.html<\/a>) and 5 of them were collected as a dedicated\u00a0Symposium<\/em>\u00a0in\u00a0I-Con,<\/strong>\u00a0The<\/em>\u00a0International Journal of Constitutional Law<\/em>\u00a0(2011) vol. 9, issue 2, 301-448 (http:\/\/icon.oxfordjournals.org<\/a>).<\/p>\n The purpose of this 2012 Seminar was twofold<\/strong>. On the one hand, it aimed to review the major changes that occurred in the last 30 or 40 years in the field of administrative law, and to address the consequent transformations in the methods used to study this branch of law.
