Giorgio Mocavini (1990) is an associate professor of Administrative and Public Law in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Palermo.<\/p>\r\n
He holds a Ph.D. in Administrative Law (2018) from the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. He was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Law at the University of Naples \"Suor Orsola Benincasa\" (2018). He graduated summa cum laude in Law from the University of Pisa (2014), with a dissertation on state-owned enterprises, and earned an Advanced Diploma from the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa (2015), with a dissertation on local public services.<\/p>\r\n
He has published two books:\u00a0Ai confini dello Stato. <\/em>Gli enti funzionali all\u2019amministrazione<\/em>\u00a0(Milan, Giuffr\u00e8 Francis Lefebvre, 2024) and\u00a0Il prezzo del consenso. Le compensazioni amministrative nel governo dell\u2019ambiente e del territorio<\/em>(Milan, Giuffr\u00e8 Francis Lefebvre, 2020). His research interests and publications cover topics such as local public services, postal services, public enterprises and bodies, and environmental damage compensations. He has conducted research abroad at the \u00c9cole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure in Paris (2013) and at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg (2017-2018).<\/p>\r\n He is a member of several associations, including Lab-Ip \u2013 Laboratorio per l\u2019innovazione pubblica, Osservatorio AIR \u2013 Osservatorio sull\u2019analisi di impatto della regolazione, and the International Society of Public Law (ICON-S).
